Whole-facility protection at the point where the utility meets your plant. Sized in megawatts rather than kilovolt-amps, and rated to sit outdoors if the building has no room.
A distributed UPS estate protects IT load and leaves everything else exposed: chillers, pumps, air handling, process tooling, the loads that actually determine whether a facility keeps running. Centralized UPS moves the protection boundary upstream, to the service entrance, so a utility event is invisible to the whole site rather than to one row of cabinets.
We supply that protection at two scales. The low-voltage modular platform builds from 50 kW modules to 4.8 MW across paralleled cabinets, with the power, bypass and control modules all hot-swappable. The medium-voltage PureWave platform sits directly on a 5–25 kV bus and protects up to 22.5 MW without the losses and footprint of stepping down first.
Both are available outdoor-rated and containerized. On constrained sites that is often the deciding factor: the system arrives factory-tested, is craned into position and energized, with no building works in the critical path.
Full AC/DC–DC/AC conversion with dual-DSP digital control, so the load sees a regenerated waveform rather than a filtered version of whatever the utility delivered.
Power, bypass and control modules can all be exchanged live. Mean time to repair drops to a module swap rather than a system outage, and capacity can be added as load grows.
Fan speed tracks temperature to cut noise and extend life. If one fan fails the system holds 50% load; if two fail it holds 30%. It derates rather than dropping the load.
Active power factor correction takes input power factor to 0.99 and on-line efficiency to 96%. Under good grid conditions, ECO mode reaches 99%. At megawatt scale that gap is a line item, not a rounding error.
Supports 30–46 cells and works with both lead-acid and lithium iron phosphate. Float charge voltage temperature compensation and charger sleep control extend battery service life.
The system can start directly from battery when mains is unavailable, and a configurable reset delay limits the impact on the grid or a standby generator during restart.
A three-proof paint immersion process protects the electronics for long-term operation in dusty, humid and corrosive environments, not only clean data halls.
RS485, RS485/CAN for BMS, SNMP over Ethernet, dry contacts, EPO, and optional WiFi or 4G cards for remote visibility where there is no site network.
Two distinct architectures. Which one fits is usually decided by the voltage at your point of common coupling and the space you have available.
50 kW & 100 kW modules · up to 4.8 MW
A three-in, three-out modular platform for data centers and industrial LV distribution. The 50 kW module scales vertically from 50 to 600 kVA/kW in a single cabinet, with up to four cabinets in parallel reaching 2.4 MW. The 100 kW module scales from 400 to 1200 kVA/kW per cabinet and 4.8 MW across four.
250 kW – 16 MW · 208 V – 15 kV
Medium-voltage UPS connected directly to the incoming bus, protecting whole plants and campuses. RE&D owns the PureWave design and continues to service, refurbish and build it.
2.25 – 22.5 MW · 5 – 25 kV
The extended-range medium-voltage platform, reaching 22.5 MW (25 MVA) at up to 25 kV for the largest single-point protection requirements.
