When a manufacturer retires a product line, the installed base does not retire with it. Systems keep running, and their owners lose access to the documentation, spares and expertise they were promised for the life of the asset.
RE&D acquired the PureWave power quality business precisely so that would not happen to this fleet. If you operate a PureWave UPS, DSTATCOM or SMS system, the literature below is yours to download, and the field service, spares and refurbishment behind it are still available.
Because the intellectual property sits with us rather than a manufacturer that walked away, none of this is limited to keeping existing assets alive. Power Quality: Uninterruptible Power Supply
Double-conversion UPS from modular low-voltage cabinets through to medium-voltage systems that protect a whole facility from the intake.
Medium-voltage UPS connected directly to the incoming bus for whole-plant protection. RE&D owns the design, supports the installed base with spares, field service and refurbishment, and can build to order against a project lead time.
The extended-range medium-voltage platform, protecting up to 22.5 MW at voltages to 25 kV. Full lifecycle support, spares and field service available from RE&D.
Reactive Power: STATCOM & Static Var Generation
Converter-based compensation that responds in milliseconds, for voltage support, flicker mitigation, harmonic filtering and negative sequence correction.
Modular three-level IGBT STATCOM built from ±600 kvar power modules, up to six per system. Response typically 10–40 ms, fault ride-through to 250 ms, optional active filter across the 2nd–51st harmonic, air or liquid cooled.
Cascaded medium-voltage static var generator connecting directly at distribution voltage. Response to 5 ms, 20-year design life, MTBF above 75,000 hours, with reactive, harmonic and negative sequence compensation modes. Every power unit is full-load tested before shipment.
Inverter-based distributed static compensation for transmission systems, delivering leading or lagging VARs in a fraction of a cycle and deployable inside existing substations. Supported with spares, field service and refurbishment, and available to build against a project lead time.
Energy Storage & Power Conversion
Grid-forming battery storage and the power conversion systems that sit between a battery and the network.
Modular multi-level cascade storage in three standard configurations: 365 kWh low-voltage cabinet, 5 MWh low-voltage container and 50 MWh medium-voltage container connecting directly at 33–35 kV. Full liquid cooling, LFP cells, grid-forming control, sub-5 ms response and 3 pu overload for 10 seconds at MV.

Storage management and power conversion platform for renewable integration, energy time-shifting, capacity firming and ancillary services. Documentation and support available from RE&D, and available to build against a project lead time.
Air-cooled four-quadrant converter for connection to a range of battery types, in a NEMA-3R (IP54) outdoor enclosure. Accommodates 50 Hz and 60 Hz, and systems from 380 to 400 Vac, or to 480 Vac with an auto-transformer.

A controlled power electronics interface connecting local generation directly to local demand, islanded or grid-parallel.

Running something we no longer sell?
Spares, refurbishment, field service and expansion are all still available for legacy PureWave, DSTATCOM and STATCOM fleets, and for third-party equipment whose original supplier has moved on. Refurbishment is usually a fraction of replacement cost, and avoids the outage that a new asset would force.
